"Bro Roy's Remarks"
Can you believe it! Summer is almost over. School begins in less than a month. It has been a summer full of activities; but as summer comes to a close, there is even more we need to do.
Check the rest of this newsletter for a list of some of the activities.
The nominating committee is working hard. There are some places that still need to be filled. The greatest joy you have in your Christian life will be finding your place of service and using it as a faithful witness. Don't wait to be asked, volunteer.
September 2nd - New Sunday school year
September 9th - Harvest Day & high attendance in SS
I ask you to pray for this new church year to be one of growth, where many people will be saved and for Christian growth in their relationship with God.
May God receive all of the praise and glory.

The Nominating Committee has begun its annual process to staff our organizations, ministry groups, and committees. The
committee members are Carey Adams, Steve Brown, Linda Carter, Jonathon Downs, Daphne Edwards, David Edwards, Jeri
McCormick, Shane Waites, Max Hutto, & Roy Strother. Please pray for this committee, for your place of service, and our
church as we seek to enlist workers for the Lord's work! Jesus said, "The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few.
Therefore, beseech the Lord of the harvest to send out workers into His harvest." Matthew 9:37-38 NASB
NEEDED: - Sunday School Preschool Toddlers, Children's Gr. 1-3, and Youth. - Discipleship Training Preschoolers. - GA & RA Leaders, Women's Enrichment Director, Homebound ministry, and a number of committees. Will you pray about your place of service?

September 9th
We will have our annual "Harvest Day" on the 2nd Sunday in September. We will follow the tradition of past years. An offering will be taken for our building fund. We want to receive a worthy offering. I encourage you to begin praying and planning now about your gift.
We will also push for high attendance in Sunday School. Dinner on the grounds will follow the morning worship service.
