"Bro. Roy's Remarks"
Summer vacation is almost over. I am looking forward to fall. People seem to settle down and become more consistent in their life routine. This also holds true for the church. Attendance increases and people are more consistently faithful. Fall is one of the best times for growth in the church. I am praying that we will experience growth and that we will have a new sense of excitement about serving the Lord faithfully.
We will begin FAITH on August 23rd. This is one of the best tools we have as a church to reach lost people. I am asking you to seriously pray about your participation. We will also have Bailey Smith in Revival (Nov. 20-22). He is the former president of the Southern Baptist Convention and one of the best preachers in our country. He has a heart for lost souls. I am praying for a great harvest for the Kingdom of God.
As I write this article, Bro. Floyd Lisenby's family is preparing for his funeral. I want to pay special tribute to a man who served God faithfully and who finished well. I hope that I can do as well as my friend and brother in the Lord and ministry has done.

Sunday School New Year Kick-Off
Our new Sunday School year begins in September! We must be busy doing God's work of reaching, teaching, and ministering. To help us get focused on His work we will be having a special All Sunday School Leadership Kick-Off Training Camp Wednesdays, August 24 and 31, at 6:15 p.m. All Sunday School Teachers and Directors are expected to attend! Lets work together to reach people for the Lord!
Workers Needed: As of this writing we still are in need of some additional workers. Critical needs include Sunday School 7& 8 Grade Boys, Discipleship Preschool, Missions RA's. Pray for workers! Talk with one of the Nominating Committee to volunteer.
