Our tender, yet vibrant Louisiana, more than ever needs us to continue giving, working, and serving, "as unto the Lord."
Of the approximately 4.5 million people the Lord has placed in Louisiana for these times, statistics show that 50% are either lost or unchurched (according to the North American Mission Board). It is our responsibility as believers and Baptists to spread the message of God's love to Louisiana for these times. The mission field is right outside our back door.
Louisiana has faced one of the greatest natural disasters in all American history; and she has faced it with determination, persistence, and compassion for those hurting. The Lord has placed us here in Louisiana for "such a time as this."
Below are the GBO allocations grouped into five categories. This year will give an overview of the many ministries made possible by Louisiana Baptists giving
to the Georgia Barnette State Missions Offering.
- Mission Church Building/Equipment & Special Needs.
- Mission Budget Supplements.
- Special Mission Projects.
- Hannah Reynolds Christian Education.
- Missions Education, Promotion, and Leadership Training.
... For these times, let's tend the harvest.
... For these times, let's reach out and heal hurting hearts.
... For these times, let's stand together as Louisiana Baptists and reach our Louisiana for Christ.
Our Church Choir and our Children's Choirs are beginning to work on Christmas music. Would you like to join us?
Children meet at 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Adults and Youth meet at 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday and 7:35 p.m. on Sunday.

ALL COMMITTEES MEETING
Sunday, September 17, at 4:30 p.m. all Committees and Ministry Groups will meet together for an orientation meeting. We will be going over the task for each committee and electing chairpersons. It is important that all committee members be present!
We reach out to those in our community in a number of ways including FAITH and cookie ministries. Let us
continue to make our guests feel welcomed when they visit with us. (We do this well already! Keep at it!) We
must share God's great love with all who will listen.

"Cookie Ministry"
We need volunteers to bake cookies for our "FAITH" Cookie Ministry. Sign up sheets are on the Women's Enrichment Bulletin Board. Cookies need to be delivered to the church by 6:00 p.m. on Mondays (the office closes at 1:00). Each person is asked to bring 3 dozen individually wrapped cookies.
